The Scrum Master works as part of our software development team to manage Scrum events and other efforts focused on streamlining the development lifecycle. This position is for someone who is goal-driven, personable, creative, and wants to be part of a rapidly growing company that is providing software-based solutions to enable car dealers to manage their financing, expand their reach, and have much more actionable insight into their operations.
What You’ll Do

  • Drive value creation with cross-functional teams comprised of developers, product owners, and QA personnel.
  • Facilitate all Scrum events, including Daily Scrum, Review, Retrospective, Refinement, and Sprint Planning.
  • Effectively communicate and tackle development blockers to help teams meet sprint goals; escalating these through the appropriate channels as needed.
  • Document, coordinate, and manage cross-team dependencies and reports to keep work on track.
  • Facilitate open communication among team members and stakeholders; promote positive team dynamics to ensure members collaborate and work effectively.
  • Instill a mindset of relentless improvement within teams to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Coach the team on how to effectively leverage the Agile methodology and Scrum practices.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You Need

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of Agile, especially within the context of the Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required, STEM preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Scrum Master experience.
  • Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met. Prior experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies with application development projects

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in a related technical field (e.g. MBA, MIS).
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent is preferred.
