Summary

The Research Scientist II is responsible for analytic projects related to the work of the Thoracic Oncology Research Group, including technical writing and structured analytic work for project abstracts, manuscripts, and grants. Other duties may be performed as assigned. Travel may be required.

*Responsibilities

• Writes abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, or grants, as directed.
• Coordinates progress on assigned thoracic oncology projects.
• Completes final preparation and submission of thoracic oncology research projects.
• Completes data analysis tasks, as assigned.
• Interprets, formats, and presents analytic results to various stakeholders.
• Maintains confidentiality of all research data and records, pursuant to HIPAA, FDA, GCP, ICH and IRB guidelines regarding research subjects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Minimum: PhD in health-analysis related field (e.g., public health, epidemiology, statistics, etc.)

Experience

Preferred: 5 years of research writing or analysis experience.

Minimum: 3 years of research writing or analysis experience.

Special Skills

Minimum: Computer literate (including experience with Microsoft Office); must have demonstrable skills using SAS, S, and/or R. Experience with medical terminology; experience with electronic medical records
