Job Summary
Pariser Dermatology Specialists has been providing dermatology services to the Hampton Roads community for almost 75 years. Today, Pariser Dermatology Specialists has six locations across Hampton Roads and is one of the largest independent dermatology practices in the country.
We are currently hiring a Scheduling Coordinator for our Mohs surgery department. Candidates must be able to work and travel in our Suffolk and Williamsburg offices on a set schedule. Candidates must have experience using an electronic medical record scheduling system. Candidates must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Description:
Scheduling appointments and procedures for patients using a computerized scheduling system
Answering all questions with regards to appointments and procedures
Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the scheduling process
Ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, has been scheduled
Managing patient referrals
Interacts extensively with physician/medical staff, office staff, and patients via phone, fax and email, assuring accurate and effective scheduling of appointments
Independently and accurately handles a wide range of scheduling duties in a fast paced environment.
Job Requirements:
EMR software utilization experience is preferred.
Computer skills: Microsoft, Allscripts EMR is a plus.
Minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience is preferred.
Experience in surgery or dermatology scheduling is preferred.
