Job Title: Scheduling Clerk
Location: West Deptford OR Greentree Office
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-5:30pm
Status: Full Time
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY – The overall purpose and objective of this position is to assist schedulers in providing excellent customer service to patients and referring physician offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scan scripts and authorizations into patient accounts
• Call referring physicians’ offices and laboratories for lab results
• Daily data entry/computer work
• Contact insurance companies for workers’ compensation and motor vehicle accident related studies
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
• Punctuality and regular attendance
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent

Training and Experience

• Prior experience in a medical call center or front office preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in use of office equipment (i.e. scanner, fax machine, copier, telephone)
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
• Proficient in use of computer, keyboard and mouse
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Physical Demands of the Position – Position requires sitting 80-85% of scheduled shift with constant use of computer, keyboard and mouse as well as multiline telephone.

Working Conditions – Position is performed in an indoor office setting with close proximity to coworkers
