Country Pure Food is looking for an experienced Sanitation Technician to join their team in Akron, OH. This position is for our 3rd Shift from 10:00PM – 6:00AM.
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the assistance and execution of activities related to the cleaning and sanitizing of the facility and on-site equipment.

Job Duties:
- Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
- Performs sanitation activities including preventative maintenance on valves, pumps, and various equipment.
- Assists with directing food handlers and production personnel in sanitary, pest-control and allergen-control measures.
- Executes cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Identifies unsanitary practices and conditions. Confers with proper managers to recommend changes to improve sanitation standards and purity of product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Compiles inspection and sanitation violation reports and resolves deficiencies.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Must posses (or attain within seven (7) working days of initial hire or placement in this position) and maintain a current and valid forklift and pallet jack operator’s license.
- HACCP Certification.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation, and SQF Programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with various teams.
- Thorough understanding of products and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
