QSI, a member company of The Vincit Group is seeking an experienced Sanitation Area Manager. The Vincit Group is a single source provider with a network of nine member companies that deliver maximum efficiency through the vertical integration of chemical services, contract management, as well as automation and engineering solutions. QSI provides contract sanitation services to the protein processing, tobacco, commercial baking, dairy, fish, pet food, snack food, and ready to eat food industries. JOB SUMMARY
The QSI Sanitation Area Manager will be assigned to a specific geographical area and will be responsible for management of the QSI operations in that Area. This will include ensuring that sanitation operations are completed properly, safely and timely. The Area manager will ensure that the clients in the Area are satisfied and that QSI is in full compliance with customer requirements as outlined in our services contracts. The Area Manager will be responsible to ensure that QSI management and staff is fully trained and has the support that they need to complete their tasks. The Area Manager will be required to collect specific operational data and report that information to Divisional and/or Executive Management. The Area Manager will work with all levels of the organization to improve efficiencies and ensure budgetary compliance.
The Area Manager will be actively involved in the recruitment, assignment and supervision of key management and supervisors that are assigned to work at the QSI contracts in the geographical area where he/she is assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Be willing to travel extensively
- Be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Be willing to work in all environmental conditions that exist in food processing plants (hot, cold, loud and wet)
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and represent the company in a professional manner to our customers, prospective customers, managers and employees
- Be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including management, supervisory and entry-level hourly employees
- Must be dependable, competent and willing to follow up on assigned tasks
- Must have and maintain strong organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task
- Must insist upon the safe work practices of all company employees assigned to their supervision
- Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office products
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct and/or communicate with individuals and/or groups of people including subordinate employees, peers, managers, customers and government officials
- Must be willing to be involved with all aspects of QSI operations
- Must be open and approachable with a willingness and desire to communicate with customers, Company executives and employees
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Must be able to travel extensively (75 - 100% Travel)
- Will have at least 3 years of supervisor/personnel management experience in the food safety - sanitation industry
- Will have a knowledge of sanitation processes and chemicals
- Must be knowledgeable in safe work practices
- Must have a verifiable history of supervisory/management experience
- Must be legally employable in the United States
- Will have excellent organizational skills
- Will have excellent communication and skills
- Will possess a high school diploma or GED (some college experience is preferred)
- Must be drug-free
- Will present a neat and clean appearance and will have the ability to professionally represent our Company to our Customers
- Must be a self-starter and work productively with little supervision
- Will have good computer skills
- Must be able to work third shift
Preferred: 5-8 years of s of supervisor/personnel management experience (preferably in the food safety - sanitation industry
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor degree in a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: At least two years of documented, successful working experience in business management and supervision of a specific workforce
Preferred: Experience in the food or protein industry in a technical position
