Job description

Helena Eisenhart New York is looking for an experienced sample maker to start immediately. The sample maker will assist with cutting and sewing for ongoing production for the current season, and for in-house sample making for the next collection.

The sample maker must be based in New York City. The ideal candidate for this position has experience and availability to work with up-cycling, suit tailoring, detailed hand sewing, leather work, cut and sew knitwear, outerwear and denim. They must be detail oriented, reliable and organized. They must be able to read a pattern and cutters must.

All machinery and tools are provided if the sample maker chooses to work in the studio space. The sample maker may work with the designer in their studio or work from their own studio depending on the sample.

Hours will vary between 5-10 hours per week depending on the schedule. The sample maker may choose their own hours as long as due dates are met.
