We are seeking a RECEPTIONIST for our salon. We value our receptionists as one of our team's most valued members, as the client's first contact will always be with the front desk. A receptionist at Adelina Salon Boutique is a position with growth too, with opportunity for promotion.

The duties of a salon receptionist include greeting visitors upon their arrival, responding to questions from clients regarding services through phone, email, or in-person, and processing payments. You should be well organized and able to handle clients with pleasantness even during times of heavy demand if you want to succeed in this position.

Ultimately, you will directly help improve our reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet clients, walk them to the proper beauty station and inform assigned beauticiansof their arrival
  • Book and confirm appointments via phone and email
  • Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts
  • Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
  • Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability
  • Inform clients about new services and discounts
  • Cross-sell services and products when appropriate (e.g. through informative brochures and gift cards)
  • Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
  • Manage our call center
  • Maintain a tidy reception area
  • Order business cards, brochures and stationery as needed

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representativeor similar role
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
  • Familiarity with processing transactions
  • Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude
  • Solid organization and record-keeping skills
  • An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
  • High School diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

  • Day shift

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
