About the Role
The Sales Support Specialist - Wireless role is key in identifying revenue opportunities within the Cell Site Backhaul and Dark Fiber Fronthaul space by partnering with Wholesale sales to drive customer growth and retention. As a partner, the Specialist will be fully engaged in the sales process needed to support Wireless customers, from RFP receipt through full contracting and handoff to engineering. This position will have primary responsibility for providing pre-sales support contributing to continued revenue growth.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage leads/opportunities generated by the account team to meet deadlines and increase revenue growth.
  • Engage downstream partners when contractual obligations for quotes are delayed or missed.
  • Answer calls and email requests from internal and external customers.
  • Partner with account executive to provide quotes and associated documentations (latency waivers, network diagrams, etc.)
  • Understand all aspects of the pre-sales process including RFP responsibilities, contractual obligations & provisions, quotes, special construction costs, internal tools (BDT/CRT, DSAT, etc.), and account review.
  • Partner in development and maintenance of a pre-sale database for all AT&T Mobility opportunities.
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities and partner with account executive to identify new opportunities that are eligible for funding.
  • Accompany account executives to onsite meetings or conference calls as requested
  • Further responsibilities as communicated by leader.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in direct commercial sales - account management or sales support
  • Self-starter, strategic thinker with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience entering case details, follow-ups and opportunities in Salesforce and other project management tools
  • Well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence (i.e., continuous improvement)
  • Able to self-motivate and require little direct supervision
  • Ability to successfully interact and build trust and rapport with internal partners and customers
  • Ability to quickly understand funding programs, strategic product applications and processes

Other Qualifications Should Include:

  • Experience in providing presentations to stakeholders
  • Background in contract management
  • Consultative sales experience, preferably B2B
  • Takes ownership and ensure tasks complete on time
  • Project management ability


Years of Experience & Educational requirements:

  • Associate degree or significant relevant work experience is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years in customer support, project management, and/or direct sales support roles
