Sales Support Representative

_ Expectations of the role: _

• Efficiently take customer orders, assess their needs, enter and or update customer information into our company programs.
• Responsible for all aspects of customer inquiries and requests by phone, email or fax.
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, order entry, product sourcing and product availability.
• Support outside sales reps with quotes, pricing, account maintenance and general research.
• Communicates with purchasing and the warehouse for product availability, delivery or shipping details, and follows up with the customer to relay information.

Skills and Experience we like to see:

• High School Diploma and two years of experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in a Sales Support or Inside Sales Role, preferably in the Industrial Safety or Industrial Marine fields.
• Strong computer skills and experience required with MS Office, knowledge of SAP and CRM a plus.
• Knowledge of MRO, Industrial Safety, Mill and Marine supply products.
• Excellent communications skills are a must, along with attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
• Exhibits positive professional attitude when dealing with both internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize.
• Displays excellent customer service skills and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
