Great Western Trailer (GWT) is seeking people like you to join our Parts Team as a Sales Manager to lead our outside parts sales initiative. Our company is a leader in serving the semi-trailer industry and we are looking to expand our outside parts sales across the company. This role will be an integral part of building out our outside parts sales platform, managing the day-to-day operation, and leading the expansion of market capture as well as, building out the sales team.

  • We have operations in Fontana, CA; Albuquerque, NM; Phoenix, AZ; Grants Pass, OR; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Dearborn, MI; Salt Lake City, UT; Oklahoma City, OK; and Tulsa, OK.

Job Overview:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing outside parts sales operations across our dealership footprint. This role will be responsible for building out our parts sales operation companywide. That will consist of reviewing and optimizing the current outside parts sales structure and starting up outside parts sales in branch locations that do not yet have that revenue stream. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with key customers as well as, leading a team of sales agents. We are looking for team members who have the experience, knowledge, and ability to build a companywide sales organization across ten locations in eight states. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success leading a team of sales professionals across a large region, strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a data driven approach to managing a sales organization.

The Sales Manager can expect any of the following duties:

  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to create and implement the new companywide outside sales plan
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate with senior management and the data team to build out the KPIs, and operational reporting package necessary to measure and manage the business.
  • Work with Senior Management and accounting to create the outside sales budget, and targets
  • Hire, train, manage, and motivate a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Travel to the branch locations to engage with team members and key customers
  • Execute on continual development and improvement of the sales team through training, coaching, and mentorship
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Monitor department performance toward goals and work with sales team members on implementing corrective action where necessary
  • Provide reporting and commentary to the Senior Management Team on performance, trends, and strategies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an outside sales leadership role
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Demonstrated ability to start up operations in a new market
  • Strong understanding of the data and reporting necessary to measure and manage the business.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience in the Semi-trailer parts sales preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation
