Queens, NY metals distributor seeking an energetic professional full-time sales and customer service representative.

This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to the commercial growth of a dynamic, market leading company. The basic requirements of the position are to support the sales and customer service process, this role will be encouraged to contribute across a broader range of tactical and strategic activities to learn and develop their skills. We envision this role as developmental toward a sales position within the company.

Core position responsibilities include:

Sales:

· Engage existing and new customers to understand needs and provide product and service solutions

· Support development of new business by obtaining material price quotations and sourcing materials from suppliers

· Research customers and markets to identify unmet needs and growth opportunities

· Prepare and analyze sales reports

Customer service

· Receive and process new customer set ups and credit review

· Enters customer purchase orders into ERP system

· Process customer payments when required

· Prepare and publish product test reports

· Prepare shipping documents and related activities

Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in business, economics or related field or equivalent experience.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to build customer facing relationships and act as a team player

· Computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office (excel, word, powerpoint)

· Detail orientation

· Desire to grow and develop professionally

Standard working hours Monday to Friday on site in Middle Village office. Role includes annual salary of $45-60k and medical benefits.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
