Salary: $65,000+/year based on experience
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility)
Safety Coordinator Essential Duties:
- Manage Safety Program
- Manages and coordinates all work activities of functional area
- Establishes location goals. Develops work schedules to meet these goals
- Ensures on time delivery and/or job completion
- Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation. Develops and ensures adherence to preventative maintenance schedule
- Monitors work performance and quality
- Coordinates work flow between departments and work areas
- Works to assure excellent customer relations
- Monitors the safety of the work area and ensures adherence to the guidelines
- Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance
- Support OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements
- Develop effective health safety plan designed to meet operational goals to reduce injuries, accidents and incidents
- Assist OSHA trainings for new and existing employees
- Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements
- Help develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from result of hazard analysis
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace
- Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices
- Purchasing of all safety supplies, products or training items required
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local Laws, rules and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
