EMCO Chemical Distributors, Inc. is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team! This position will work primarily out of the Pleasant Prairie, WI, with some occasional travel to Illinois facilities. Supervises day to day safety and health training of company. Minimum of a bachelor's degree and 3 years industry experience or equivalent. Knowledge of or training in regulatory matters applicable to the chemical industry. Good written and verbal communication skills, and PC skills.

Special Circumstances of the Job:

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a minimum amount of direction and supervision. Needs good understanding of regulatory safety and health matters.

Job Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:

• Schedule and present EHS training across Pleasant Prairie, WI and North Chicago, IL - including: Fork-Lift, Fall Protection, Respirator Fit-Testing, Bonding and Grounding, Hazcom (GHS) Training, Confined Space, Lock-out Tag-out, Hot Work, RCRA, SWPPP, etc.
• Maintain and update EHS training records ensuring they are audit ready.
• Ability to communicate training objectives in large groups.
• Assist Safety Specialist and EHS Manager with enforcing safety initiatives, rules and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with coaching, mentoring and communicating to drive safety responsibility on the production level.
• Participate in Safety Committee Activities.
• Ability to drive a forklift or obtain a forklift license.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Execution of activities as assigned.
• Responsibilities involving food safety and GMP, when required.
• Support and review all EHS programs.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
