GENERAL SUMMARY
The position of RPL Training Coordinator, is a unique responsibility of working with men from Discovery Track to Recovery Peer Leadership. They are responsible for training and monitoring the Peer Mentor team along with assisting RPL Manager in Intern training and oversite. They will be responsible for weekly Peer Mentor updates as well as going over life balance curriculum/monthly updates with Interns.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Class Facilitation:
- Facilitating Peer Mentor classes
- Discovery Track (Assigned by RPL Manager)
- Physical recreation:
- Scheduling activities for the different Phases of the program.
- Communicating to all management each phase the activities and PM or Interns overseeing specific details of activities.
- Recovery rides
- Bowling
- Camping
- Volley Ball
- Wednesday Recreation
- Life skills:
- Coordinating with RPL Manager and Phase 1 Director for classes/activities pertaining to developing specific skills needed to lead the community.
- Events
- Work with the Phase 1 Director to assist with Graduation needs
- Work with Program Directors for Cross ceremonies
- Work with Development Department with Celebration of Hope, Volunteer Appreciation, Taste of Collier, and Cars on 5th
- Coordinate between JPMP for all Community Service projects
- Peer Mentors / Interns
- Interacting with the PM and Interns helping to mentor outside of direct authority
- Helping to develop program for PM and Interns
- Helping PM and Interns to transition back into Program or RFL
- Checks personal emails and MARS report daily and responds appropriately
- Media
- Oversight and leading of committees to develop location specific media
- News letters
- Flyers
- Event Invitations
- Receives calls and makes appropriate referrals and performs call backs in timely manner
Perform any task deemed necessary by RPL Manager within this scope of work
Requirements:Education: Graduate of RPL preferred. CRPS/NCPRSS mandatory
Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience or onsite clinical experience required.
Confidentiality: Works with highly confidential information.
Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
Physical Demand: Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time and lift at least 25 pounds. Must be able to bend or kneel to the ground.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment / Outdoor recreation
