Job Title: Rotating Equipment Mechanic – Industrial

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Salary Range: $48-56 an hour, DOE

Schedule: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off, 7x12 work weeks (84 hours)

Duration: 3 years

Job Duties:

· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair oilfield production and processing equipment including:

o Large Volume, multi-stage pumps

o Compressors (centrifugal and reciprocating)

o Gas turbines

o Associated auxiliary equipment

· Perform Alignment procedures

· Work with commissioning teams as maintenance to witness for mechanical integrity

· Review start-up and operational spare parts lists and inventory

· Review and witness start-up of new equipment

· Review and maintain lubrication matrix

· Obtain rotating equipment routine oil samples

· Support ongoing continuous improvement of the predictive/preventative maintenance program – including working with third parties

· Rig and move large loads

· Must have working knowledge of industrial components (valves, flanges, tanks, vessels, exchangers, fin-fans, general fixed and mobile equipment)

· Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on piping systems and associated components

· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems

· Remove / install oilfield components: Valves, flanged piping spools, tubing, vessel internals, actuators, louvres, doors, etc.

· Knowledge of proper rigging components and safe lifting techniques

· Maintain records and equipment logs

· Consult with vendors on the design, installation, and maintenance of equipment

· Perform inspections as needed to comply with best practices and regulatory requirements

· Perform a wide variety of other duties requiring manual labor as requested or assigned

Qualifications:

· Five (5) years of mechanical experience working on heavy industrial work, pumps, and compressors.

· Working knowledge of pumps, reciprocating compressors, and turbines

· Working knowledge of crane hand signals

· Knowledge of machine tools

· Knowledge of principles of lubrication

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

· Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures

· Ability to demonstrate support the company’s environmental management system

· Ability to work well with a team

· Ability to mentor co-workers

Experience:

· North Slope Experience, Preferred

· Mechanical Experience, REQUIRED

· NSTC, Preferred

· Preferred experience with maintaining equipment history in CMMS data bases

· Preferred experience with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair

Education:

· High School Diploma or GED, Required

Required License: Must have a clear driving record.

Additional Information:

All food and housing expenses while working on the slope will be covered.

Flights from Anchorage to the slope are paid for by the company.

Flights from the lower 48 to Anchorage are the responsibility of the EMPLOYEE. Please keep this in mind when applying.
