POSITION PURPOSE

Provide engineering layouts for robots. Produce layout drawings for proposals and assist sales in the preparation of sales quotations. Prepare Bills of Material and manufacturing documents for company use. Perform Quality checks of adapters. Provide back-up to the departments Bill of Material Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1) Layout, design, and detail using CAD (Computer Aided Design) and Solid Modeling programs. Layout drawings will include plan, elevation and section views in two and three dimensional format.

2) Provide sales organization with drawings for customer proposals.

3) Create parts drawings.

4) Organize and maintain Engineering files.

5) Maintain electronic drawing files.

6) When required travel to a facility to gather information and measurements for preparation of proposal and/or project drawings.

7) Maintain a positive, Customer oriented attitude whenever dealing with customers internally and externally.

8) Design of Robot Mounting Adapters (2D and 3D Design, Detail Drawing’s, Bill of Materials).

9) Design of Safey Guarding (2D and 3D Design, Detail Drawings, Bill of Materials).

10) Communicate with Customer per phone or email.

11) Quality Check of Adapters.

12) Back-up for the Bill of Material Coordinator includes:

a) Communicate with Wittmann Vienna and internal Engineering to solicit required Bills of Material.

b) Enter, Create and Update Bill of Materials in MAS

c) Use systems and programs including MAS, WiBOM, WiRED, Infor and Excel.

13) Ability to cope with varying frequency of incoming requests and constantly re-assess priorities for maximizing company objectives.

14) Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• technical or engineering discipline: 2 years (Required)
• mechanical design/drafting: 2 years (Required)
• 2D and 3D Cad programs: 2 years (Required)
• Microsoft Excel and Word programs: 2 years (Required)
• Mechanical Engineering: 2 years (Preferred)
