RN Treatment Nurse
Job description
Responsible for correctly preparing, administering and documenting treatments in accordance with physician's orders. Adhere to established pharmaceutical policies and procedures and follow federal and state regulations as well as Company policies and procedures.
Nursing policies and procedures; administration of medication, possible side effects, and treatment as prescribed; federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to resident care; comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices; physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of residents; organizational structure and duties of employees under supervision of Treatment Nurse; have knowledge of infection control and Material Safety Data Sheets. Proficient in the use of computers; American Health Tech, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
Other: Competent in supervision, leadership, caring attitude, observant, maintain good working relationships, judgment, and emotional stability.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for nursing care of assigned residents during his/her shift.
- Prepare and administer or supervise preparation and administration of medications and prescribed treatment.
- Supervise serving of diets and fluid intake.
- Chart medications and treatments according to procedure.
- Ensure rehabilitative nursing procedures are performed.
- Direct and maintain charts on his/her shift.
- Prepare, administer and document all treatments per physician's order and facility procedures.
- Take vital signs as necessary.
- Contact physicians and record physician's verbal orders. Transcribe physician's order accurately and assure follow-up as indicated. Re-cap physician's orders per facility policy.
- Accompany physician on rounds to assist with examinations, answer questions, provide input and receive instructions.
- Accurately measure wounds with timely documentation on skin grid forms.
- Recognize, interpret and report changes in resident's condition to Care Manager/ADON.
- Order treatment supplies for the resident per product standardization.
- Act as a first responder in case of emergency situations. Perform CPR as necessary.
- Complete all charge tickets for supplies used in resident care.
- Ensure that facility rules, infection control standards, policies and procedures are followed.'
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
