RN/Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

***$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS - eligible to those that qualify ***

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit has 12 critical care beds in all private rooms. The CVICU is the designated intensive care unit for all adult critically ill, cardiothoracic- and cardiovascular-related medical and surgical patients. Patients may be recovered in the CVICU postoperatively. The patients will remain in the CVICU until downgraded to a telemetry status at which time the patient may be transferred to a telemetry floor, medical surgical floor, or to an appropriate outside facility.

The RN Registered Nurse assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment required.

BLS required prior to orientation completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Six months RN experience preferred.
