Position Overview:

· Seeking self motivated individual who has a passion for caring for the elderly in their own environment. Must be compassionate and understanding of the special needs associated with elderly patients. We take pride in giving excellent care. This position would cover Washington parish to include Franklinton areas and/or Greensburg/ Loranger areas. This job encourages personal growth and opportunity for advancement. We also have a Bogalusa RN position.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· 1+ years’ nursing experience, preferably in a acute care facility

· Associtates in Nursing required

· Valid nursing license

· Must possess the knowledge of clinical, psychosocial, and patho/ physiological theories related to nursing diagnosis and treatment and can competently perform the range of nursing techniques found in general nursing practice, as normally acquired through completion of an accredited nursing program.

· Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed

· Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

· Ability to explain treatments and conditions to children of all ages

· Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations

Applicant must have reliable transportation

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Verify medications, and render treatment to patients as ordered by Physician

· Communicate with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical professionals

· Collaborate with all disciplines as needed to create a Plan of Care for each patient

· contribute to patients’ medical records as needed

· Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians

· Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $66,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
