$35.00 - 55.04 per hour, plus an additional $1.25 for campus differential

Position Summary

McKenzie Living, Eugene is a specific needs campus supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness, challenging behaviors, and/or traumatic brain injuries. A successful candidate will be someone able to demonstrate the ability to utilize effective communication skills to create and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff and residents. Ability to work independently, dedicated to supporting each resident.

This position requires the ability to work as an integral part of a direct care team providing clinical support; Be responsible for all resident care matters involving: Medical aspects of admissions, assuring all service plans are up-to-date and complete, adhere to personnel and medical policy, and procedure, maintenance and accuracy of all medical records, assign and provide medical training to Caregiver II and III's, investigate medical S.I.R.'s and take appropriate actions, delegate/assign duties to caregivers as needed, report resident care or housekeeping concerns, provide day to day medical status of residents. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with and understand residents with difficult dementia/mental illness diagnoses and must be able to understand and comply with all program rules, regulations, and other government regulations (i.e. HIPAA, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Certified with the Oregon State Nursing Board
• 1-2 years of experience as an RN in either a Residential Care Facility, Mental Health program, or similar experience
• Working knowledge of medical terminology as well as mental illness diagnosis and treatment
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check
• Show proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19
