Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

Location: Georgetown, TX

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 19:00 – 7:00

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients in various behavioral health units. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health nursing, but we welcome first-time travelers and those with no experience who are willing to learn and grow in this specialty.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' mental and physical health status

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed

• Educate patients and families on the management of behavioral health conditions

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Willingness to work overnight shifts (19:00 – 7:00)

• Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred, but not required

• Must be able to work with patients ranging in age from children to geriatrics and with a variety of behavioral health diagnoses, including substance abuse, observation, psychiatric intensive care
