Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled SMT rework technician. With experience in Optical and x-ray inspection.

What you'll do

The successful candidate will:

• 
  Performs complex rework such as removing and installing BGA’s, and Leadless Package using the BGA Rework Station
• Assist in developing and refining rework process with manufacturing engineers
• Assist with root cause analysis
• Perform basic functional testing
• Performs touch-up and rework on surface mount board assemblies.
• Configures sub-assemblies to top assemblies on various products
• AOI, Optical and x-ray inspection. Inspects boards for component/solder bridges, cold solder, wrong or reversed component.
• Performs thru-hole surface mounts inspection.
• Required to work overtime as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What would be useful

It would be useful and advantageous for the candidate to have:

• 2-year degree a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• IPC-A-610 certification.

Must Have

The successful candidate must have:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5+ years of SMT experience
• SMT Soldering skills. Knowledge of polarity, color codes and values
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings, and processes
• Ability to perform rework needed such as removal of thru-hole and/or SMT components.
