Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week
Pay rate: $70,000 annually
The Restrictive Housing Unit (RHU) Clinical Coordinator is responsible for:
- Supervising the implementation and delivery of clinical and data tracking services and integration of clinical services within the designated RHU unit with the Essex County Sheriff's Department.
- Ensuring that (1) treatment services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based practices and Spectrum’s clinical design; (2) clinical services foster an atmosphere of customer service and excellence in service delivery; and (3) clinical staff are highly trained and proficient in the delivery of clinical services.
- Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week.
- Oversight of clinical and case management services delivered at designated site or program(s)
- Ensuring that clinical services are being delivered in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical philosophy and design, in accordance with evidence-based practices
- Working closely with the Contract Support Manager and ECSD management staff to ensure smooth operation, the delivery of quality services, and the coordination of all clinical services
- Observing group facilitation for each supervisee and completes Group Quality Inventory to ensure performance meets Spectrum standards
- Observing a minimum of one of each meeting type – Morning, Evening, and Community – each month in assigned programs
- Reviewing a minimum of four (4) clinical charts per month per counselor and five (5) closed clinical charts per quarter per counselor for compliance with Spectrum and ECSD standards.
- Maintaining comprehensive current clinical skills, competencies, licensure and certification as required
- Providing regular clinical supervision and facilitates weekly clinical team meetings
- Documenting clinical supervision on Spectrum’s supervision form and maintains appropriate documentation of clinical team meetings
- Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time
- Working closely with Spectrum management and staff to ensure a seamless continuum of care within Spectrum’s various treatment modalities
- Providing orientation for newly hired clinicians
- Ensuring that the interdisciplinary treatment planning, case reviews and conferences are being conducted and documented per Spectrum’s protocols
- Developing an ongoing staff development and training plan for clinical staff in coordination with the Contract Support Manager and other Clinical Directors
- Facilitating clinical quality improvement initiatives to continually improve the quality of clinical services in coordination with the Contract Support Manager
- Providing direct clinical services as needed
- Assisting with crisis management and other emergencies as needed
- Maintaining adequate knowledge of the programs’ emergency preparedness plan and emergency procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Mental Health Counselor or closely related license in the fields of addiction or mental health required
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in counseling preferred
- Minimum of three years experience in a substance abuse, mental health, or other related behavioral health program required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
- Based on a mandate from Massachusetts Department of Corrections, any Spectrum employee working in a MA DOC facility or pursuant to the MOUD Contract must be fully vaccinated and no exemptions are permitted.
