Job description
Direct Resident Caregiver. Evening shift 2pm - 10pm 1 Full-time position 1 Part-time position- Communicate concerns of resident needs
- Observe, report and document resident status and the care or service furnished.
- Understand basic elements of body functioning and changes in body function that must be reported ot the supervisor/director.
- Maintain clean, safe and healthy environment.
- Administer medications to residents according to medication policy.
- Basic infection control procedures.
1. Good written and verbal communication skills; i.e. communicates thoughts coherently, writes legibly and concisely, speaks distinctly.
2. Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and other shift staff.
3. Follow administrative lines of authority to communicate issues of concern.
4. Give accurate information to resident/residents families. Referring resident/family. questions to the management team.
5. Good sense of direction with safe driving habits.
6. Flexible work hours, i.e. weekend, evenings, holidays and nights.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Successful completion of EduCare online training courses and competency evaluation.
- Successful completion of on the job orientation period.
- Satisfied the following requirements during orientation period.
2. Shown the ability to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
3. Demonstrated the ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgements.
4. Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend, stand for long periods of time, squat, crouch and work in confined spaces.
5. Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 50 lbs.)
