The resort is conveniently located within a short drive of Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, Sarasota, St. Petersburg-Clearwater, and Tampa airports. Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for Reservations Representatives to join our opening team!

The Reservations Representative is responsible for taking all incoming telephone inquiries and reservations while promoting and maintaining the highest caliber of guest service.

All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Answer all telephone call inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Successfully book, modify, and cancel room reservations, restaurant reservations, golf reservations, and activity itineraries.
  • Continuous knowledge of Resort Accommodation, rates, and special packages that are available.
  • Remain up to date on property information, and recite all information regarding hotel facilities, hours of operation, key personnel, special activities, and functions in the hotel to our guests.
  • Assess potential guest needs and provide information on accommodations/itineraries by making personalized suggestions and recommendations.
  • Assist guests through problem solving situations while keeping management well informed of challenges and guest feedback.
  • Enter third party reservations into the property management system to ensure proper accommodations and billing.
  • Data entry of reservations and reporting.
  • Fulfill daily tasks on the Reservations Checklist.
  • Assist as needed in Resort Dispatch and Front Office areas.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by management.

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Candidates will need to be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Sunseeker Resorts does do criminal background checks.

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in customer service
  • Ability to communicate in English, both in written and oral forms.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting with knowledge of booking systems, both in-house and online preferred.

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out.
  • Trustworthy and responsible.
  • Resourceful, makes things happen, and looks for ways to work more efficiently.
  • Adept to multitasking and hotel systems.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience with booking systems and processing payments.
