We are a mental health startup focused on developing a best in class ring wearable that measures stress and strives to connect the dots between your mental and physical health. We’ve raised $60M in venture financing to build radical new solutions for brain and body health. Our technology is based on decades of research in biomedical engineering, computational psychiatry, and wellness theory to build the first ever truly brain-focused wearable. With millions of hours of annotated trial data collected with academic and industry partners, we are building one of the largest multi-sensor health-related datasets.
Happy Labs is looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented individual with experience in human subject data collection to support our increasing data needs. Research studies will include lab-based (virtual and in person), field-based, and survey-based research. This individual will work closely with various teams including, but not limited to, Machine Learning and Data Sciences.

What you will be doing:
- Prepare and execute in-lab, in-field, and remote data collection from multiple consumer and third party wearable devices.
- Lead research participant engagement such as recruitment, onboarding/training, and documentation (informed consents, NDA, etc.).
- Manage and organize lab inventory to enable data collection processes across Happy Health offices.
- Create and maintain detailed research study documents (protocols, participant instructions, etc.).
- Work with the Happy Labs team to aid in the development and validation of research protocols.
Your Background:
- Minimum B.S. in exercise science or STEM
- Experience with human subjects research
- Experience with use of biomedical devices and consumer wearables
- Knowledge of the research study lifecycle, with the ability to understand concepts of human subjects research and study design
- Understanding of good clinical practices and human subjects research ethics and compliance
- Experience collecting and managing large survey-based and/or sensor-based datasets
- Highly motivated, empathetic, organized and detail oriented
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
- Ability to work in-person
- Experience with python is preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
