A Structural Analyst job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available via remote support. Direct, Full-Time and Contract opportunities are available for this role. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and 10+ years of experience in airframe structural analysis. In this job your primary responsibility will be classical hand calculation and finite element analysis for aircraft and suborbital spacecraft. You will report to an Analysis Group Leader as a key member of an integrated product team.

Structural Finite Analyst job duties:

• Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical aircraft hand stress analysis methods
• Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer
• Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated
• Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings
• Liaise with other teams as required
• Maintain strong communication with the internal project management and with the client
• Work within a small team to achieve project success
• Manage your own project work and provide mentorship to others

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience performing airframe analysis and possess strong technical ability
• Strong hand calculations skills and finite element analysis capabilities using Femap
• Strong composites analysis experience
• Static and fatigue analysis experience
• Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have excellent computer skills
• Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required
• Travel to customer locations as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding and experience in analysis of landing gears
• DADT experience
• Repair or MRB experience
• MATLAB, PYTHON, MATHCAD, and HYPERSIZER
• Seven or more years in the aerospace industry
