JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for management of registration, grades, degree audits, verification of graduation and diploma production, and the maintenance and permanent storage of student academic records.
MAJOR DUTIES
Directs the registration process; ensures all institutional, state, and federal policies are followed.
Directs the collection, recording and maintenance of student records, including grades, transcripts, and enrollment verification.
Implements and maintains the student module of the BANNER system.
Communicates with students, staff, faculty and administration regarding registration issues and the use of the BANNER system.
Collaborates with Academic Advisement, Bursar, and Student Financial Services to assist students, faculty, and administrators.
Directs the development of semester course schedules and related information.
Directs the auditing and certification of degree program completion.
Directs Veteran Services including campus services, State Authorization Agency reporting, and Veterans Affairs reporting.
Monitors curricular proposals and changes that impact the university catalog, class schedules, and databases and implements those changes.
Collaborates in the production, editing, and publication of the university catalog.
Researches and makes determinations related to registration functions, including academic forgiveness, student withdrawals, and academic probation and suspension.
Interacts internally and externally for purposes of enrollment questions, transcript verification, and transfer/reverse transfer data exchange.
Coordinates commencement activities.
Exercises control over the budget for the Office of the Registrar.
Performs related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Provost assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor reviews work through conferences, and reports, for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and propriety of final results.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include the university catalog, Oklahoma State Regents policies, State Department of Education policies, Department of Defense and State Authorization Agency guidelines, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. These guidelines require judgment, selection and interpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of varied management duties. The variety of tasks to be managed contributes to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to direct student registration and records maintenance operations. Success in this position contributes to the accurate granting of degrees and representation of student academic achievements.

Contacts are typically with co-workers, other university personnel, faculty, staff, students, elected and appointed officials, representatives of other colleges and universities, and members of the general public.
Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, to provide services, to motivate or influence persons, or to justify, defend or settle matters.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table. The employee occasionally lifts light objects.
The work is typically performed in an office.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
This position has direct supervision over Associate Registrar (2), Coordinator of Veterans Services (1), Transfer Articulation Specialist (1) and Academic Resource Specialist (1).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Argos, Ellucian Banner, Degree Works,
Ability to multitask and provide attention to accuracy and detail.
Annual salary $59,700.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
