Randstad Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for a reputable facility in Sacramento, CA to join their team of Covid-19 testers.

We are in need of dynamic and flexible candidates to serve as clinical experts in performing nasopharyngeal swabbing for a varied client population in the international travel industry , with new potential clients that may be added over time.

Job Description:

• This position has been developed to assist clients with performing on-site medical screening specifically for COVID-19 as a means of prevention of spread within their facilities, job sites, and living quarters.
• The per-diem COVID-19 RN is a clinical role specifically operating within the protocols established by the lab for screening adults and children for possible COVID-19 infection, including the collection of specimens through a nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal and mid-turbinate samples.
• This position may include the initiation of services and/or service referrals dependent upon the responses and/or results to any of the tests, questionnaires, or other information obtained during the screening process.
• Strict protocols for administering tests, including interpretation of on-site results (if applicable) must be followed including mandatory reporting requirements as listed within the testing protocols.
• Additionally, strict Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and symptom screening requirements will be adhered to by the company, and is expected of the provider fulfilling this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Don and Doff PPE as required within the protocol for performing medical testing and screening
• Document findings and results of the medical testing and screening with the Worksite Labs documentation system as required and as stated within the protocol (depending upon the need/requirements for testing).
• Acquire samples of potentially infectious bodily secretions from individuals after obtaining consent for testing via multiple different methods, including but not limited to nasal swabs of various types.
• Adhere to strict PPE requirements for medical providers performing collection on potentially infectious persons potentially infectious bodily secretions.
• Comply with laws and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of information collected

Locations and Hours

• This role will require travel throughout the Sacramento Area, which may include private residences, to perform COVID-19 testing.
• Candidates will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while fulfilling these duties, and will be accompanied by another member of the Labs team to ensure staff safety.
• Hours are variable depending on on client needs, but may range 7am-8pm depending on demand and client request.

Requirements for this role include:

• A current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in California.
• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse, with prior experience in nasopharyngeal swabbing and specimen handling.
• New graduate nurses will be considered if they have applicable experience with nasopharyngeal swabbing.
• A valid state driver’s license.
• Must have good computer skills and smartphone access as we do all charting electronically, as well as frequent communication on an electronic company platform (Slack), to sign up for shifts.

Payrate: $60/ hours
