Job Summary
The Nurse Infusion Care collaborates with health care team in providing direction for maintaining high quality patient care, outcomes, and goals for patients. This role specializes in assisting infusion-specific patients in an effort to provide exceptional care and support.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete initial screenings for home infusion and hemophilia patients; assist with infusion pump programming and troubleshooting based on Plan of Treatment (POT) established by a pharmacist
- Build an appropriate supply list; complete first refill reviews; complete the reorder processing
- Complete disease assessment; provide disease and injection/infusion education; complete assay management activities for Hemophilia patients
- Serve as Point-of-Contact for disease-specific operations teams
- Obtain nursing orders and provide patient clinical nursing management
- Coordinate home nursing with appropriate contracted agency and complete follow-up calls on ensure patient satisfaction with home infusion nurse services provided as needed
- Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate

Physical Requirements
- Constantly (67-100% of time OR 6 or more hours) required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours) required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours) required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours) required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
- Current License/Registration as an RN (Registered Nurse) without restriction,in good standing with the State Board of Nursing in the state in which the position is located
- If applicable, ability to obtain and maintain Nurse Licensing Compact multistate license and necessary non-Nurse Licensing Compact state licenses within 6 months of employment start date (company-sponsored), when job functions require; any and all exceptions to this timeline requires leadership approval
Additional Qualifications
- Related work experience in a Specialty Pharmacy, PBM and/or call center setting
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential manner
- Strong initiative with the ability to work in a team environment
- Organized and detail oriented with proven problem solving skills
- Willing to travel up to 10% of time for business purposes
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Nurse Licensure Compact multistate license
- Active Nursing license(s) in non-Nurse Licensure Compact states
- 1 year work experience in nursing
