Registered Nurse (ICU) Night Shift - 13 Week Renewable Contract
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with ICU specialty looking for an exciting opportunity? We have a 13-week renewable contract available for a Registered Nurse to work in the ICU unit on night shift (3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00) starting ASAP. This is a great chance to work in a well-equipped facility located in La Junta, CO 81050.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, monitoring, and administration of medications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Monitor and interpret patient data, such as vital signs, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and other relevant information
- Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado
- Minimum 1+ year of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to start
- Ability to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00) as scheduled
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Flu vaccine status unknown (facility guideline)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
