Surgery By Vold Vision is seeking a Registered Nurse to assist in a fast-paced ophthalmology ambulatory surgery center.
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs nursing care for the patient in the preoperative setting including testing and counseling and in the immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period, assessing and documenting patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery area. Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered. Monitors patient and informs the surgeon of any observed complications. Administers IV conscious sedation during procedures and monitors the patient’s condition and vital signs. Directs and facilitates the planning, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of patient care during the pre, intra, and post-operative phases of care.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Arkansas License as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification required upon hire. ACLS certification must be obtained within 2 months of employment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: IV conscious sedation, but not required.
EXPECTED HOURS: Tuesday and Thursday, typically 7:30 am to 4:00 pm but times may vary. Typical hours worked per week will vary between 15-25. No weekends, on-call, or holidays. Competitive pay, and 401K plan available. Job Type: Part-time
