REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS NEEDED!
Are you passionate about working with children with special needs? ABA Achievements is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians in Lower Fairfield County and surrounding areas. Work with us as a valued member of our ABA treatment team, led by BCBA/BCBA-D clinicians. Help children affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families break through barriers in skills development and behavior challenges.
Locations for Immediate Assignment:
- CT - Darien, Fairfield, Milford, Norwalk & Trumbull
- Client home and community settings
- Part-time; flexible schedules, after school and/or weekends
Qualifications:
- Teach children ages 3-9 skills in safety, communication, social living, self-care, and activities of daily living.
- Promote the inclusion of these learners, with their families, in community settings that feature the arts & sciences, recreational activities, shopping, and sports; lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs. and walk at a moderate rate for 45 minutes.
- Work with emerging technologies, including alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) tools and strategies.
- Pass criminal background check with negative drug screen; obtain CDC-recommended COVID-19 vaccinations; maintain reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean DMV record, though you will not be transporting clients.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree.
Required Experience:
- Direct ABA therapy with children ages 3+ under the supervision of a BCBA for a minimum of 8-12 months (an academic or calendar year).
Required License or Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Note: Exceptional candidates without an RBT certificate are provided the 40-hour RBT coursework, to be completed on their own time during the first 12 weeks of employment. We provide the RBT supervision and competency checks during this time and will pay for the RBT exam.
- Candidates who are completing a BACB© verified course sequence (VCS) in applied behavior analysis may substitute this experience for the RBT credential; supervision is provided.
Compensation:
- $28-30 p/h based on experience, qualifications, education, and training
- Training and mileage at a special rate; mileage in between appointments is reimbursed at the federal rate with drive time also compensated at a special rate.
