Title: Regional Sales Account Executive
Department: Packaging & Automation

Reports To: National Sales Manager / Director of Sales

Summary
As a Sales Representative for Tension Packaging & Automation, you will be selling automation solutions including various types of packaging and labeling equipment, conveyor and sortation systems, software, and consumables, to direct to the consumer and B2B ecom distribution centers within a designated geographic area. We are looking for individuals that have a minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in this industry.
Responsibilities
- Duties include new business development though cold calls and following up on provided prospect lists, web and trade show leads.
- Develop and understand prospect’s business and workflow. From this base of understanding you would then develop a sales strategy to present various automated solutions that could help the prospect’s business operate more efficient. Requires a competitive and motivated spirit with the drive to solve problems providing customer specific solutions.
- Find and qualify new prospects through cold calling and networking with current customers, prospects, suppliers and other industry individuals.
- Once prospect is qualified, you will need to identify new automation opportunities and present solutions offered by TP&A
- Be the first and main point of contact for account from prospecting and first call, through the sales cycle process.
- Once account becomes customer be responsible for sales of consumables, and handle complaints and proactively strive for resolutions.
- Work with and develop excellent working relationships with internal TP&A team members
- Reporting, will be responsible for filing reports as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Already working in the direct to the consumer ecom industry as a successful salesperson.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and take them to conclusion one by one
- Excellent verbal, written, people and diplomacy skills
- Microsoft Office Computer Skill
- Demonstrate understanding of managing a customized sales cycle to provide solutions to clients
- Overnight travel required
- Five plus years outside sales experience, with preferably with automated equipment sales and/or order working with direct to consumer or warehouse accounts
