This position would include managing and organizing freight in the stock room, inventorying and receiving shipments daily, and customer service.

We are looking for a Receiving Sales Associate to be responsible for all receiving, and inventory management, while secondarily helping with sales floor customer service. Receiving associates should be detail driven and minded to ensure accuracy of work. The ability to use computers and programs to receive, ship, transfer, and manage inventory daily is essential to this position. When needed, the receiving sales associate will help on the sales floor to ensure customer satisfaction is met. Ultimately, the primary duties of a receiving sales associate are to achieve a very low error rate on work performed, maintenance of the stores inventory within software programs, and up to date work flow of shipments in and out of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize computer software to receive, count, update, and verify store stock from shipments and internal inventory procedures.
  • Be responsible for all transfers in and out of the store, ensuring accuracy is achieved.
  • Communicating issues with orders, transfers, etc to the correct coworker to solve issues and slow downs effectively and efficiently.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Utilize software to perform cycle counts on inventory according to procedures.
  • Help in put away of stock from shipments and transfers.
  • Help the sales floor when needed to provide excellent customer service
  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and improve store inventory management
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a receiving associate, shipping clerk or similar role
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Track record of maintaining low error rates of work performed
  • Experience with inventory procedures
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address issues in a timely manner
  • Availability to work flexible shifts

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
