Summary:

Applicant will be responsible for physically transferring incoming live chickens from a conveyor belt to a line system. This position requires interaction (touching, holding, handling) with live animals (chickens). A commitment to the highest level of animal welfare and respect for the birds at all times is mandatory. Anyone who is not dedicated to proper animal welfare and respect for the birds should not apply. If employed, you will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action up to and including termination for any violation of animal welfare. Applicant must always use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in compliance with all company policies and procedures. Applicant must be able to work weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Comply with all company policies
• Comply andcommit to all animal welfare guidelines at all times
• Transfer the minimum amount of birds onto the line system
• Any other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies, procedures and animal welfare guidelines.
• Mustalwayswear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing up to 8 hours
• Exposure to wet and dusty environment
• Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
• Repetitive motion

• Requires good personal hygiene and adherence to local, state, and federal health codes and standards
• Constant focus and concentration required to ensure a quality product is produced as well as to ensure safety is maintained from potentially hazardous conditions
