Radiology Technical Assistant - Breast Imaging Service
Job description
To provide assistance in the performance of radiologic examinations of hospital and clinic
patients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. No Radiologic related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Some training or experience in patient care preferred, such as CNA, Medical Assistant, etc.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
- Assists in preparing room for radiologic procedures by ensuring required supplies are
- available.
- Assists in preparing patient for radiologic exam by accurately assessing patient’s needs
- and providing patient education as needed.
- Distributes clean linen to rooms, removes soiled linen, and disposes of them properly.
- Assists in placing patient transportation in to tele-track system, also transports patients
- from and to initial location when necessary.
- Able to assist with exam, such as positioning as instructed by technologist.
- Helps with work-queues in Epic.
- Assists with scheduling of patients as needed.
- Practices safety measures in Radiology and Environment of Care.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Standard radiology and office equipment
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
