For almost fifty years, The Professional Center for Child Development, a nonprofit, human services organization has dedicated itself to our mission of “Nurturing the growth and potential of EVERY child.” PCCD provides children of all abilities, ages birth to 10, with a solid foundation for life-long learning through our developmental, educational, and therapeutic programs so they can achieve their full potential.

Our organization includes a Chapter 766 Developmental Day School, Early Intervention Program, Early Childhood Program, Private Therapies, Regional Consultation Program, and Toddler Playgroups.

The Anderson School, our oldest program, located in Andover, MA are looking for a caring and dedicated R.N. substitutes. School hours are M-F from 8 am to 3 pm. The R.N. substitutes are hired on a day-to-day basis and when the needs arises, will work temporarily to cover days normally filled by another R.N.

Our R.N. substitutes will provide comprehensive educational and therapeutic nursing care and support for students ages 3-12 with multiple disabilities, moderate to severe developmental delays, and complex medical needs. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to G-tube feeding, suctioning, medication and oxygen administration, on-going monitoring of health and medical status of the student, and the ability to respond in the event of a medical emergency during hours of work.

Job Requirements

• R.N. degree with a current MA license
• Pediatric work experience with special needs children 3-12 years of age is preferred
• Experience working in an education setting is also a plus
• Must be able to sit, bend, kneel and lift 25 lbs.
• All our direct care staff is required to pass a criminal background check in order to work at our agency.
