· Create a document describing the data transformation for every data element over a specific period of time (daily, weekly, monthly).

· Accurately prepare written correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional, and engaging.

· Demonstrated ability of high levels of interpersonal and communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability of self-motivation, self-direction, and able to work with little or no supervision.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively use third party tools and system utilities.

· Visualize and Propose solutions that cross multiple platforms

· Demonstrated understanding of the client server environment, relational data modeling with SQL, code development/testing on the Windows .NET platform

· Write scripts for use in an automated regression testing suite.

· Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies

· Experience in vetting an Automated Regression Suite Tool.

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Information Technology, located at 1305 E. Walnut, Des Moines, IA is seeking a person as Software Developer/Programmer 4 Application Product Analyst/Tester. Client requests local candidate.

Iowa HHS systems team are looking to utilize the right resource on change requests that range from problem tickets (quick fixes) to major enhancements. These positions will test applications that support Child Welfare, Child Care Assistance, Food Assistance, Family Investment Program, Medicaid, Child Support, and Enterprise Systems. In addition to testing duties, the agency is looking for automated test data creation & maintenance experience, and light Business Analyst duties, which will mostly involve gathering requirements around production issues and light enhancements.

Iowa HHS primarily has two environments: Legacy Cobol/CICS/IDMS/VSAM Mainframe systems and client server/Web .NET systems. Most systems are centralized but there are distributed systems as well that are used in field offices and DHS owned and operated facilities. Many systems are home grown while some systems use third-party applications.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the position will work remotely with the development teams through Microsoft Teams. However, it is unclear if this will be a permanent, so it is expected that the candidate be located in the Des Moines Metro area as to be able to come to the office as needed. Limit candidates to those currently living and working in the Des Moines Metro.

Required Skills:

· Play critical role in testing products to verify against specifications and validating product feature concepts for future and current requirements using manual testing processes and automated regression testing suites.

· Write scripts for automated regression testing.

· Write scripts and procedures to help create and maintain testing data / regions.

· Maintain documentation in study library or tools provided for knowledge management and future benchmarking.

· Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities. Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process-flow and business function.

· Perform some or all the following types of testing: user acceptance, functional, regression and usability

· Test not only the technology, but also the process and role changes

· Validate existing ‘to be’ processes as part of documentation process and updating documentation of the changed business processes as needed.

· Understanding business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and documentation libraries.

· Be a collaboration point with system development team and client-facing teams to ensure clarification of requirements and translate into needs for product features.

· Works with quality assurance and programming teams to ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.

· Interacts with technical teams and SME’s to clarify business requirements.

Pay: $20.21 - $60.80 per hour
