Job Summary:

Performs quality control and quality assurance inspection and testing functions associated with product manufacturing and shipping. This includes working with quality engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, performing rework, and quality testing related to production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control and/or modify manufacturing processes. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs routine visual mechanical inspections of products (Receiving; In-process; Out-Of-Box-Audit; Final QA; etc.)
• Performs special visual mechanical inspections of product (First Article Sample evaluation)
• Controls nonconforming product in MRB (Materials Review Board) impound
• Preventive/Corrective action implementation.
• Assists product and process failure analysis
• Collects data and does basic statistical analysis and reporting
• Assist procedure development and maintenance

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

• Digital networking products/technology industry or telecom industry background - desirable
• 5 years of experience in QA/QC (same or related industry desirable)

Education / Training:

• AS, or equivalent, in a technical discipline or equivalent

• Computers – MS Windows & MS Office suite (familiarity with document control and/or MRP/ERP programs – desirable)
• Precision measurement tools

• Basic electronic lab equipment – oscilloscopes, multimeters, and communications test sets (like Smart Bits, Ixia, etc.)
• Environmental chambers
