QA Technician and SQF Practitioner
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Gather, monitor, analyze and report on food quality information and related data.
- Provides support & training to operations with the objective of meeting food safety & quality requirements, while maintaining production efficiency.
- Responsible to develop, validate, verify, implement, maintain and review SQF system, including food safety and food quality.
- Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF system, in accordance with SQF code.
- Perform food safety & quality critical control point checks on process as outlined in the HACCP & Quality Program requirements.
- Liaison to regulatory authorities, customers, internal, and third-party audits.
- Communicate essential information to relevant personnel for an effective implantation and maintenance of the SQF system.
- Implementation and maintenance of the quality management system, including HACCP to ensure the continuous improvement of quality.
- FMSA preventive controls.
- Translate and incorporate good manufacturing practices (GMP) into operational practice.
- Critically analyze processes and procedures to identify and assess potential food safety hazards and quality defects.
- Ensure that food safety & quality assurance programs are properly implemented & maintained by following regulatory guidelines through auditing/, product quality control & data entry.
- Impart ongoing employee training for HACCP, SOPs and GMPs.
- Assist in Research and Development activities.
- Perform routine analysis and laboratory work.
- Review all Quality Checklists for accuracy.
- Verify, Create and Update Labels based on the new requirements
- Review all Production Checklists for accuracy
- Review all Quality Checklists for accuracy
- Review SOP’s for accuracy
- Inspect Food and Non-Food Storage areas.
- Verify Shipping and Receiving Documentation to ensure it is up-to-date
- Assist with Export Activities
- Additional duties as assigned
- Knowledge and skills
- Food Science certification from a recognized educational institution or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Medium knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP
- Advance level in communication and interpersonal skills
- Advance level in Microsoft Office Suite
