Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our Supply Chain Management Operations team in Kennesaw, GA

The Quality Assurance Team Lead plays an integral part within the Supply Chain process. The incumbent has primary responsibility for Quality Assurance to include Parts Inspections, Claims Management and First Article/Tool Sample Inspections.

What you'll be doing:

• Supervise and support day to day operations of Parts & Accessories Coordinator, Quality Tech, & Claims Administrator to ensure quality goals are met.
• Oversee Quality inputs of Quarterly Supplier Scorecards for top 20 suppliers to ensure accurate reflection of overall supplier quality.
• Investigates & documents non-conforming materials.
• Create/Oversee Action Plans/SCARs for suppliers with repetitive quality deficiencies to ensure clear root cause and action item disposition.
• Oversee & participate in On-site Vendor evaluations to ensure supplier meet minimum Yamaha requirements.
• Monitor & report Market Information to the Quality Engineers for further analysis.
• Advise Quality Engineers of Quality deviations.
• Daily internal communication with cross-functional departments, i.e., Quality Engineers, Sales Reps, Technicians and Warehouse Staff.
• Report significant failed part information.
• Coordinate with buyers & suppliers to obtain credit for returned parts with quality issues.
• Inspect finished goods in the warehouse when needed.
• Create ad hoc reports as directed.
• Perform Other duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

• High School diploma required; college preferred
• 3-5 years' experience in quality assurance
• Familiarity of Yamaha's product lines
• Must be highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of corporate quality standards for workmanship and finishing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in YDS, Gfast, YWMS, Business Objects
