About the Role:
Recast Software is seeking a QA Engineer - Manual to join our Engineering team. We are looking for someone who enjoys diving deep into interesting technical problems and complex solutions across both desktop and web applications. Key Role Responsibilities:
- Partner with QA team members to define tooling that enables improving testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability for the product suite.
- Identify, record, document and thoroughly track bugs
- Generate, execute, and maintain full suite of functional, regression, and integrated test cases
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet product needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to further identify product requirements and user expectations
- Track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defects in production and open defect counts)
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in the software quality assurance field
- Experience in Agile development lifecycle
- Extensive experience in writing end-to-end test cases
- Experience working in Project Management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, TFS, JIRA, etc.)
- Knowledge in Test Management Platform (e.g., Azure DevOps Test Plans, TestRail, Xray, ALM, etc.)
- Goal driven and product-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as a reliable team-worker
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience/Familiarity with systems administration* (Configuration Manager)*
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman)
- Understanding and experience with relational database testing in SQL
- Experience working with remote teams in a tight deadline environment
