Purchasing Manager
Job description
Seeking a Purchasing Manager for a manufacturing client in the Franklin County PA area.
Essential Functions of the Job:
-Oversee a department of 5 people to insure that raw materials, supplies, and services are purchased at the lowest possible price.
-Provide leadership to internal department and direct efforts with all departments to make sure product arrives when needed
-Negotiate pricing for raw materials, supplies and services.
-Source new suppliers that meet cost, quality and delivery requirements
-Ensure all PO procedures and followed with proper approvals
-Make sure everything is up to date and accurate in ERP system
Desired Education/Skills/Certifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant area
-CPM Certification or APICS Certification
-At least 8 years of progressive purchasing experience
-Excellent computer skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems
-Must be very metric oriented and used to a high accountability environment
