Daedalus Yachts is a privately held design, engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in the development and construction of luxury yachts that combine speed, comfort, safety, and green technology. Purchasing Agent/ Inventory Controller Responsibilities:
- Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
- Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
- Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
- Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
- Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
- Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
- Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices, Coordinating the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing.
- Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability.
- Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out of stock (OOS).
- Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
- Generating purchase and pricing reports, supply chain analysis, and inventory management systems.
- Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor. Maintaining and updating records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records
Purchasing Agent/ Inventory Controller Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position. Proficiency in inventory management software programs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong organization and documentation skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
