Your Opportunity:
Taymark, Inc., a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a Publishing/Graphics Specialist to join the team in their White Bear Lake, MN office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Utilize artistic talent, design, layout and creative experience for digital layouts
- Have a broad understanding of typography, photography, design and can think conceptually and can brainstorm ideas with a team
- Prepare electronic files to printer’s specifications
- Responsible for providing photography art direction for covers and product shots
- Responsible for image manipulation
- Art direct and coordinate design projects within department
- Participate in conceptual brainstorms and prepare presentations of new design concepts for marketing and merchandising
- Illustrate electronically to concept large scale decorating themes and décor
- Building large décor and working with technical writers to complete instructions for the customer to recreate
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines, working in a fast-paced, heavy production environment
- Responsible for the design of advertising pieces according to marketing research data and Brand specifications
- Assist with the creative implementation of new ventures
- Communicates with teammates, manager, and other departments effectively
Your Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
You Must Have:
- 2-year degree, in related field (graphic arts/design)
- Proficiency with Macintosh, Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 or higher and Microsoft Office is required
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize and take control of work functions and schedules, but also work well within a team environment
- Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
- Strict attention to detail and awareness of quality standards
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be team-oriented, self-motivated, and require minimal supervision
- Must be willing and available to work additional hours as needed
- Passionate about increasing the confidence in children by the products and services we provide
We Would Also Prefer:
- 2 years’ experience is preferred
- HTML and basic understanding of web design desired, but not necessary
