PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
Full Time -- Hybrid, Nashville, TN

The Hired Guns are seeking a driven Public Relations Manager who is passionate about music and artists’ rights to join a leading non-profit helping songwriters and publishers get paid the royalties they have coming to them from streaming services.

As Public Relations Manager at this mission-driven non-profit, you will lead multiple communication and press projects, including specific written assignments and campaigns. You will support the communications team with pitch writing, media release creation, publicity strategy development, journalist and influencer outreach, and systems management. It will be your responsibility to create and maintain PR plans, including planning timelines, tracking activity, analyzing media coverage, and producing reports; you know the deal. You’ll also translate success stories to the press and field all press inquiries. In short, you’ll be a PR superstar who is helping make the business of music more just for all.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of corporate public relations experience; Music Tech content marketing experience is preferred. It goes without saying that you have an existing roster of solid press relationships and contacts. Plus, you thrive when talking to the press and enjoy pushing success stories and wins. You can demonstrate excellent use of several technology platforms to produce both creative and analytical work. You’re highly organized and have ridiculously amazing writing skills. You don’t need a ton of direction – aka you can effectively work remotely and take initiative. It’s essential that you have strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint. Experience with Hubspot is preferred.
