Public Information Specialist 1 (Digital Content)
Job description
Six years of experience in public relations, social media and digital communications. Associates, bachelors, or masters degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, substitutes for two, four or five years.
- Serve as web team editor for assigned divisions/programs including statewide regions, Office of Climate Change, Executive, Office of Communication Services. Collaborate with program staff on web content planning and development, content organization, and troubleshooting. Review and post new and revised web pages that are submitted through workflow.
- Assist with the new web content management system (Drupal) migration project implementation.
- Apply style guidelines to produce high-quality and accurate work in accordance with agency policies and strategies for digital communications.
- Oversee content development on agency priority messages related to health and safety concerns, regulations, regional offices, and press release posting coordination.
- Assist program staff in using the new web content submission process.
- Assist with special web and digital projects for the agency; including high-profile web page development, website content audit, digital analytics reports.
