Psych Rehabilitation Worker (FT)
Job description
Snapshot of the Psych Rehab Worker Position:
- Residential facility
- $17.47/hr plus $1,500 sign-on bonus after successful completion of 90 days!
- Evening and Over night Shift (3p-11p)
- Rotating schedule including some weekend days and holidays. (Staff are paid a premium rate for holiday coverage.)
- RHD Glassport has 12 holidays per calendar year.
- Full time employees receive 17 vacation days, 5 sick days and 12 paid holidays.
Psych rehab facilitators (PRF) will assist program residents with acquiring the skills to live in the community independently through modeling, practicing, and teaching.

- Promote principles of recovery and psychiatric rehabilitation with program residents and staff.
- Provide skill-building services.
- Utilize motivational interviewing to effectively identify the member’s strengths, needs, motivation, triggers, and goals in managing life circumstances.
- Facilitate daily group and individual psych rehab activities for program residents.
- Document daily shift notes and group notes within the electronic medical record system.
- Complete all other assigned tasks as designated by Psych Rehab Specialist and program leadership.
RHD Glassport LTSR is a long-term structured residential program serving eligible adult males between the ages of 18 to 65 who are residents of Allegheny County and have been diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder. Residents also have a forensic history.
- High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- At least 6 months of Mental health, forensic, and/or residential treatment experience is preferred.
- Must pass required background checks.
